Meat CABBAGE ROLLS

Preparation Time: 3 hours

Recipe Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
1 cup rice
1 egg
1 minced onion
1 tsp. salt
dash pepper
1 tsp. sugar

Remove about 12 leaves from a cabbage head and parboil for 3 mins.
Fill with meat mixture and place these rolls in the bottom of a casserole and cover with a sauce made as follows:




Recipe Directions
SAUCE:

1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
1 large can tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
Pepper to taste
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. vinegar

Melt butter, blend in flour. Gradually add tomatoes and cook until thickened. Season with remaining ingredients. Mix and pour over cabbage rolls. Bake in 375 degrees oven for 1-1/2 hours.
